Andrea Winkel, DVM, MPH
Dr. Andrea Winkel is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Zoo and Exotics department. She has extensive experience treating a wide range of exotic species, including birds, small mammals, reptiles, and zoological animals. Dr. Winkel earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Michigan State University in 2009 and completed a Master of Public Health from the University of Minnesota in 2010. She began her career as a Captain in the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps, serving on active duty for 4.5 years before transitioning into private practice. She then pursued a three-year residency in avian medicine and surgery at Texas A&M University, where she gained hands-on experience with species ranging from hummingbirds to big cats.
Her professional interests include preventive medicine, avian surgery, exotic animal welfare, and advancing standards of care for non-traditional companion animals. She currently serves on the board of the Association of Avian Veterinarians (AAV), representing the AVMA’s welfare committee and chairing the Aviculture Committee. Dr. Winkel is also an active member of AAV, AVMA, AAZV, AEMV, ARAV, AAFV, and NJVMA.
Outside of work, Dr. Winkel enjoys photography, scuba diving, and spending time with her children and supporting their many activities.
Neurology
Neil S. Mittelman, DVM, DACVIM (LAIM, Neurology)
Dr. Neil Mittelman is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Neurology department. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with distinction in research from Cornell University with a BS in Animal Science and a minor in Biological Sciences in 2008 and Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012.
Following graduation Dr. Mittelman continued advanced training in medicine and surgery at Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington, KY where he assisted in the neurological evaluation of hundreds of horses as well as multiple spinal surgeries. During his subsequent internship and Internal Medicine Residency at the New Bolton Center University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, he treated neurological conditions in numerous large animals from alpacas to zebras. He presented at multiple national veterinary conferences and published articles on protozoal, parasitic, and toxic causes of neurological disease, often utilizing diagnostics and treatments more commonly used in small animals and human neurology. He subsequently achieved board-certification in Large Animal Internal Medicine.
Further pursuing his interest in small animal medicine and neurosurgery, Dr. Mittelman completed a Small Animal Neurology Internship at North Florida Neurology from 2017-2018. Dr. Mittelman then completed a Residency in Small Animal Neurology and Neurosurgery at the Matthew J. Ryan Veterinary Hospital University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2020 and obtained board-certification in Neurology. He then joined the staff of Long Island Veterinary Specialists performing numerous neurosurgeries on both the spinal cord and brain of dogs and cats in addition to treating all aspects of medical neurological disease. Dr. Mittelman continued to practice Neurology and Neurosurgery in New Jersey until joining the Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine in 2025.
His professional interests include surgical correction and management of disorders of the spinal cord, inflammatory and infectious causes of meningitis and meningoencephalitis, as well as seizure management. Dr. Mittelman is a member of the AVMA and the ACVIM where he has also served as a member and Chair of the Neurology Forum Committee.
Outside of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Mittelman enjoys playing with his family Boxer Sweet Caroline, watching stand-up comedy, basketball, baseball, and football.
Ophthalmology
Elizabeth Lutz, DVM, MS, DACVO
Dr. Elizabeth Lutz is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Ophthalmology department. She is originally from Long Island, and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University. She then completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Long Island Veterinary Specialists, followed by a specialty internship in ophthalmology at Long Island Veterinary Specialists. Dr. Lutz finished a research fellowship in comparative ophthalmology at The Ohio State University, and then went on to complete her Residency in Comparative Ophthalmology at The Ohio State University, where she was Chief Resident. Dr. Lutz holds a Master of Science in Comparative Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University, with an emphasis in Comparative Ophthalmology.
After practicing at specialty hospitals in the Northeast, Dr. Lutz most recently co-owned and built a multi-specialty and emergency hospital in Philadelphia. Dr. Lutz is excited to return to teaching, and also to caring for patients and working with the referring veterinary community in southern New Jersey.
Dr. Lutz’s clinical interests are diverse, and include the medical and surgical management of glaucoma, lens surgery, corneal surgery, the novel treatment of tear film diseases, exotic animal ophthalmology, equine ophthalmology, and education. Outside of work, Dr. Lutz enjoys spoiling her rescue beagles, Archimedes and Merlin, her parakeet, Shortcake, and her koi fish. She is a collector of rare books and enjoys attending concerts, playing flute and piccolo, spending time at the shore, and spending time with family, friends, and her husband and best friend, Pete.
Primary Care
Stacy Bartholomew-Massaro, VMD
Dr. Stacy Bartholomew is a Clinical Instructor in the Primary Care department. She graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree from Penn State University and her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania. After graduation, she completed a rotating internship with a heavy emphasis on Emergency and Critical Care at Oradell Animal Hospital in Paramus, NJ. She then continued as an emergency doctor at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in Mount Laurel for about a year before deciding to move into Primary Care practice within the Red Bank network until 2019. In 2019, she began as a full-time faculty member at Manor College’s Program of Veterinary Technology where she taught veterinary technicians in emergency, clinical procedures, dentistry, and surgical assisting. She is also a Fellow through the Cornell Veterinary Educators Academy.
Dr. Bartholomew is passionate about teaching the future of veterinary medicine and building long-term, compassionate relationships with the people and their pets. Her main interests within veterinary medicine are low stress animal care, dentistry, surgery, client communication and education.
Outside of professional life, she enjoys yoga, traveling, board and card games with family, and spending time with her children (both human and feline).

Jessica Ennis, DVM, CVA
Dr. Jessica Ennis is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Section Head of the Primary Care department. A southern New Jersey native, Dr. Ennis has been a dedicated local veterinarian for over a decade, serving the Greater Philadelphia Area. She earned her veterinary degree from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012 and began her career in emergency medicine. In 2013, demonstrating the initiative to provide accessible care, she developed a house call practice and partnered with a regional specialty practice. This collaboration led to the opportunity for her to build and lead a local general practice for eight years. During this time, she nurtured a passion in high-quality preventative medicine, emphasizing a “whole body approach” to each veterinary visit, which includes a focus on behavioral health and low-stress handling techniques. She also fine-tuned skills in effective communication, team leadership and culture development.
Dr. Ennis’ approach to medicine is deeply rooted in a passion for building strong partnerships with pet parents. Her commitment to understanding the individual needs and the deep love within each family drives her approach to veterinary medicine. This is supported by her practice of ongoing education, strong communication, and a truly compassionate understanding. When not caring for animals, Dr. Ennis attempts to navigate the joys and challenges of motherhood with the same dedication she brings to her veterinary work.

Meghan Jaskot, DVM
Dr. Meghan Jaskot is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Clinical Sciences, Primary Care, at the Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Jaskot is a New Jersey native who completed her undergraduate degree at Rutgers University, Cook College in 2003. She then earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from The Ohio State University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. Dr. Jaskot has gained experience as a primary care veterinarian working at three different small animal hospitals from Toms River, NJ to Temecula, CA, and Newark, DE.
Throughout her career she has put an emphasis on high quality medicine, collaboration, and building a bond with her clients. She was eager to share her knowledge early on in her career by serving as a mentor to new graduate veterinarians and running dental extraction wet labs for area veterinarians. She has a passion for connecting with people and the community in order to better the lives of their pets and is excited to be able to share her knowledge and compassion through education. She has special interests in dentistry, Fear Free patient care, and preventative medicine. She is also USDA accredited to prepare dogs and cats for international travel.
Outside of work Dr. Jaskot enjoys spending time in nature, cycling, gardening, and traveling. She shares her home with her husband and their two fur baby dogs, Pavé and Valley.

Kaitlyn Krebs, DVM, MBA, DABVP (Canine/Feline)
Dr. Katie Krebs is an Associate Clinical Professor in the Primary Care department at the Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine. She graduated from the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine with an emphasis in small animal medicine. She completed a small animal rotating internship at the Atlantic Veterinary College in Prince Edward Island, Canada, before completing a residency in canine/feline practice through the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP) and a MBA at Virginia Tech. She spent time on faculty at Virginia Tech and the University of Pennsylvania in the Primary Care service before joining the team at Rowan.
Her clinical interests include preventative medicine, spectrum of care, infectious diseases and parasitology, and pain management (especially of osteoarthritis in cats). Her teaching and research interests include access to care and telehealth, preventative medicine, and business education for veterinary students. Additionally, Dr. Krebs is one of only a few bee veterinarians in the country and is passionate about educating the veterinary community about bee medicine.
When not in the clinic, Dr. Krebs enjoys snuggling with her two Labrador mixes, Ruby and Zeus, running her own small beekeeping business, Hercubees Honey, watching Philadelphia sports, and competing in the sport of curling.
