Dr. Pete DiGeronimo earned a B.A. in Biology from Drew University in 2006 and his veterinary degree and certificate of veterinary public health from the University of Pennsylvania in 2010. After 5 years in private practice in New Jersey, Dr. DiGeronimo completed a specialty internship in zoological medicine at Louisiana State University and a M.Sc. in wildlife and ecosystem health from the University of Edinburgh in 2016. He worked as a clinical veterinarian at the veterinary hospital of U. Penn, at Adventure Aquarium and at the Philadelphia Zoo. Dr. DiGeronimo has published more than 50 peer-reviewed articles and textbook chapters on zoological medicine and became a board-certified specialist by the American College of Zoological Medicine in 2020 and the Asian College of Conservation Medicine in 2025.
