Interlibrary Loan
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a service in which the Campbell Library borrows materials, that are not owned in print or electronic format by Rowan University Libraries, from other libraries for Rowan students, faculty, and staff. The homepage for Campbell’s ILL service is:

Reference Services
Veterinary School Library Staff are available to assist you in your research, curriculum, lectures, and more. Professional reference services are available Monday through Friday by appointment.

What can I request to pick up?
You may request books owned by any Rowan University Library, including the SSVM Library, Hope Brings Strength Health Sciences Library (Stratford), the Campbell Library (Glassboro), and the CMSRU Library (Camden). Item availability and borrowing policies are determined by the owning library.
Literature Search
A literature search is an organized search for literature published on a desired topic. An SSVM librarian may assist in determining the desired topic; help you develop search strategies; teach you how to conduct multiple database searches and give you tips on providing a written outcome of your literature search. SSVM faculty may request a librarian-conducted literature search, use the Literature Search Request Form.
Training and Instruction
Librarians are available to provide instruction on a wide variety of databases and topics. Instruction can be easily integrated into existing courses or customized to suit the needs of an individual, department or group. For scheduling, please complete the Library Instruction Request Form. You may also view a list of scheduled Rowan University Library workshops (mostly virtual) and Library workshop recordings and slides.

About
Location & Hours: The SSVM Library is located at the Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine,1000 Gilbreath Parkway, South Harrison, NJ 08062.
The SSVM Library is accessible to SSVM Rowan ID holders 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with library staff available for reference services and to check out hard copy items by appointment and at intermittent times during the day.

Medical Libraries Guides (non-veterinary) These guides, developed by librarians at other Rowan University Medical Libraries, are not specific to veterinary medicine, though may be useful for general medical sciences research and study.
Rowan University Libraries Guides These resources have been compiled by other librarians at Rowan University and are not specific to medicine. They include guides to topics such as Copyright, Researcher Support Services, GenAI, and EndNote.
