Important Information for All Applicants - Please Review Carefully!
Welcome to the Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine of Rowan University! We are looking forward to admitting our inaugural class in fall 2025. Thank you for considering SSVM for the next step in your educational and professional journey. Please review the information on this page to ensure that you submit a completed application that meets all the required criteria and deadlines. Good luck!

Eligibility Criteria Checklist
To have your application reviewed, the following criteria must be met:
- GPA Requirement:
- Your overall GPA must be 3.0 or higher (includes any repeated and graduate courses).
- Prerequisite Courses:
- You may have no more than two prerequisite courses in progress.
- All completed prerequisites must have a grade no lower than C-.
- Credit Hours:
- You must have completed a minimum of 60 college credit hours from an accredited institution.
Required Documents and Application Fee
You may submit your application before all required documents (transcripts and letters of recommendation) are received. However, your application will only be considered complete once all required documents are submitted.
An application is ONLY considered complete when:
- All official transcripts and/or foreign evaluations are received.
- Three letters of recommendation have been received.
- Application has been submitted and $150.00 payment has been received.
Deadlines:
- Application Submission: All applications must be completed and received by December 31, 2024 at 11:59pm EST.
- Application Fee: The $150 application fee must be paid at the time of submission.
- Required Documents: All required documents (transcripts and letters of recommendation) must be received by the application deadline of December 31, 2024 at 11:59pm EST.
Transcripts
- Submission Requirements:
- You must submit official transcripts from all colleges and universities you have attended.
- Request your transcripts as early as possible to ensure timely delivery. You may request transcripts as soon as you begin working on your application. You do not need to wait until you submit your application.
- Electronic Transcripts: (PREFERRED)
- When requesting your official transcripts from the Records or Registrar's Office of your former institution(s), please opt to have them sent electronically.
Please send your official transcripts to Rowan University - Glassboro or to SSVMtranscripts@rowan.edu. Transcripts must meet certain standards to be considered official. If paper copies are the only option, please have them sent to:

For applicants sending their transcripts using Parchment, do not send to the SSVMtranscripts@rowan.edu email address. Please send directly to Rowan University. When on the "Set Delivery Destination" page, please enter "Rowan University" in the search box:
- Foreign Transcripts:
- If you attended a foreign institution (non-US, non-English-Canadian, or Caribbean medical school), you must send an official WES (World Education Services) ICAP course-by-course evaluation electronically to Rowan University.
Prerequisites
Please complete the Prerequisite Information section by entering the details for the courses that fulfill each requirement, as listed on your official transcripts. You will be required to provide the following information about each course.
- Course code
- Course title
- Subject
- Credit
- Grade
- Completion status (in progress/completed)
- College/University
When completing this section, please check for consistency with your official transcript to ensure the prerequisite information is accurate.
Letters of Recommendation
- You must provide names and contact information for three references.
- Please note that once you complete and save this section of the application, Rowan University will immediately contact your references to request letters of recommendation on your behalf. You will not be able to make changes after saving this page, so please ensure you have confirmed with your references that they will write you a letter before completing and saving this section.
- Recommendations:
- Inform your references in advance to ask them for their support and notify them that they will receive an email from Rowan University with instructions to submit their letters by the December 31, 2024 at 11:59pm EST deadline.
- Follow up with your references after submitting your application to ensure they meet the submission deadline.
Application Fee
The fee for the application is $150.00 and must be paid by credit card through the Rowan Marketplace portal. A link will be provided when you are ready to submit your application.

Applicant Dashboard
Applicants are able to review the status of their application materials through a checklist on the Applicant Dashboard.
To access the dashboard:
- Click on the Application Link sent to you by email
- Enter the Application Pin
- Once logged in, click on "View Status" in the top-right corner to see the checklist.
Please allow 24 to 48 hours after submitting your application for the checklist to be updated. Thank you.
